The Grid 2 includes support for several infra-red environment control systems, including the popular GEWA system.  These allow you to control household electronics with The Grid 2. 

Control your environment

Some electronics can be used straight away, and others requires some adaptation.

Remote control devices

Many devices already support remote control - such as TVs, Sky/Freeview boxes and DVD & music players.  You can train your environment controller to activate these devices directly.

Household functions

Many other household functions can be automated with the right assistive technology. 

• Motorised controllers allow you to open/shut doors, windows and curtains.
• Remote power socket switches allow you to turn many other devices (such as fans and heaters) on and off.
• Heating controls can be adjusted remotely.
